The Yavapai Region covers all of Yavapai County, plus the part of the city of Sedona that lies in Coconino County. The Yavapai-Apache Nation is included in the Yavapai Region. With 38 percent of the land owned by the U.S. Forest Service, the Yavapai Region is known for its four mild seasons, plentiful lakes, mountains and forest and small town atmosphere.

Priorities

The Yavapai Regional Partnership Council makes strategic investments to support the healthy development and learning of the young children in the region. The regional council’s priorities include:

  • Improving the quality of child care and preschool programs
  • Scholarships for children to access high-quality early learning
  • Strengthening families through voluntary home visiting, parenting education and supporting the needs of infants and toddlers in the child welfare system
