The Pinal Region is defined as Pinal County, not including the lands belonging to the Gila River Indian Community, the Tohono O’odham Nation or the San Carlos Apache Tribe. The region does include the land belonging to the Ak-Chin Indian Community.

Priorities

The Pinal Regional Partnership Council makes strategic investments to support the healthy development and learning of the young children in the region. The council’s regional priorities include:

  • Improving the quality of child care and preschool programs
  • Scholarships for children to access high-quality early learning
  • Improving the quality of family, friend and neighbor care
  • Strengthening families through voluntary home visiting and parenting education
  • Developmental, sensory and oral health screenings
  • Effective collaboration among system partners
