The Phoenix South Region is primarily the southern part of the city of Phoenix. Phoenix South Regional Partnership Council provides services in the city of Phoenix, south of Thomas Road, but also including the communities of Maryvale, north of Thomas (full ZIP code areas of 85031 and 85033 and the city of Phoenix portion of 85037). The region does not include Ahwatukee.
Priorities
The Phoenix South Regional Partnership Council makes strategic investments to support the healthy development and learning of the young children in the region. The regional council’s priorities include:
- Improving quality and access to child care and preschool programs
- Providing scholarships for children to access high-quality early learning settings
- Improving quality and access to family, friend and neighbor care
- Strengthening and supporting families through voluntary home visiting, family resource centers and court teams
- Supporting access to healthcare for children
- Helping families with children 0 to 5 navigate the complex health care and social service systems
- Provide developmental, sensory and oral health screenings
