Dead Serious, This Place is Paradise
Designed from the bottom up as a festival that doesn’t feel like a festival, Pickathon defies conventional festival norms. Everything about the festival is tailored to keep crowd densities down and provide the best possible experience to festival goers. Camping in Doug Fir trees, experiencing the amazing selection of food & drinks available, and taking in dozens of bands – dead serious, this place is paradise. The people behind Pickathon have been at this for 15 years and know how to craft a jaw dropping good time.
No Waste In This Place
Pickathon is serving beer in Klean Kanteen cups bearing the Fort George logo. The festival doesn’t use any single use cups, bottles, dishes, or utensils. There is even a team of volunteers that round up recyclable or compostable materials. If that wasn’t enough, Pendarvis Farm has its own solar array that offsets the energy used for the entire festival and all of the food and craft vendors.
The Bands
Pickathon has six stages for bands to perform and this year’s lineup includes heavy-weight hitters like Feist, Andrew Bird, Divine Fits, JD McPherson, and Kurt Vile & The Violators. Music spans from 11:10AM – 2:00AM on certain days. Tip:Catch King Tuff in the Galaxy Barn on friday night after seeing Andrew Bird on The Woods Stage.
