[POSTPONED] Nature Matters: Sea Level Rise on the Oregon Coast – Community Science and Resilience

This talk has been postponed due to incliment weather.

This talk will include information on two ways the Oregon coast is facing and tracing inevitable changes in our future. Alessandra Burgos, program manager at the Cascadia CoPes Hub, will share how the Hub is responding directly to the call to increase coastal community adaptive capacity. The evening will open with Jesse Jones, co-coordinator of the Oregon King Tides Project, an initiative now in its 13th year, engaging the public to document the effect that extreme tide events have on our beaches, coastal waterways, private property, and public infrastructure.

Join Nature Matters in the Fort George Lovell Showroom every 4th Thursday, October–May for Nature Matters, hosted by Lewis and Clark National Historical Park, in partnership with the North Coast Watershed Association, the Lewis & Clark National Park Association, and Fort George Brewery + Public House. Doors open at 6pm with food & beverages available via the Taproom window, talk starts at 7pm. All ages welcome and never a cover!
