Fort George Brewery, Tourism Declares, The Travel Foundation, Travel Oregon, and the Oregon Coast Visitors Association invite you to attend a Tourism and Climate Action watch party on Oct. 12th from 4:00pm – 5:30pm in the Lovell Showroom, or on our Facebook page.
Climate change has the potential to significantly impact travel and tourism in the coming years, but our sector also has a tremendous opportunity to be a catalyst for change, and to do so it is imperative that we work closely together.
During the watch party, we will live stream a keynote presentation given by Jeremy Sampson, CEO of the Travel Foundation, Chair of the Future of Tourism Coalition and Chair of the Destinations Working Group for Tourism Declares a Climate Emergency. Us, and other participating groups all along the West Coast will hold a discussion to engage participants in thoughtful conversation about the topic of tourism and climate action. This watch party is part of the annual People’s Coast Summit and takes place one month before the United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP26 in Glasgow. Remaining relevant and forward-thinking is crucial for the tourism industry as we continue to face challenges together.
Doors to the Lovell Showroom open at 6 pm, talk starts at 7 pm. Beverages are available through the Taproom. All ages are welcome and never a cover! Or, watch the live stream on our Facebook page.
