Worlds Collide is a Blended Mixed Culture Ale fermented in French Oak puncheons, re-fermented on two pounds per gallon of Silvan Blackberries, and conditioned on freshly-pressed Tempranillo wine grape pomace. With berries from West Union Gardens and Tempranillo Pomace from Landmass Wines. The result is a jammy beer full of ripe red berry flavor, with a tart finish and a little bit of funk. Like the first bite of jam on toast in the morning half-light from a window open over a sunny country garden. What can we say? We like jam.
Appearance: Deep ruby. Mostly clear but bottled with sediment and susceptible to haze. Pink foam that dissipates quickly.
Aroma: Jammy red berry fruit up front: blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries with a light, earthy barnyard brettanomyces funk.
Flavor: Medium bodied, apparent sweetness with dry, snappy finish and balanced acidity.
