What is a gooseberry? How dare you. Not only is the gooseberry a great euphemism for all sorts of things (look it up), it’s just generally a great berry. Halfway between a currant and a grape, with the appearance of a tiny watermelon – the gooseberry has been cultivated by humans (and before that bears, foxes and birds), for hundreds of years. This Mixed Culture Saison was fermented in French Oak barrels, re-fermented on two pounds per gallon of gooseberries and then conditioned in the bottle.
