There are flavors, and then there are… subterranean flavors. In Astoria, there is an underground. A network of tunnels, passages, and basements. Secret hideouts? Speakeasies? Dens of iniquity? We’re not sure. We’ve only been in our own basement, checking on this beer as it fermented and aged in Oak Puncheons beneath the bustling streets of Astoria. Subterranean Nectaron was fermented with a blend of ten different yeast strains – the tart, sour flavor from the long fermentation process is bolstered and balanced by bright, fresh stone fruit from the Nectaron Dry-Hop. Truly subterranean.
